Forward with Fortitude

In January 2026 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I have no family history of breast cancer and tested negative for the BRCA gene, needless to say I never in a million years thought cancer would touch my life. To say my world as I know it was shattered in one sentence is an understatement. The journey through diagnosis, and treatment has been extremely emotional and challenging mentally and emotionally. I just celebrated completing 16 rounds of chemotherapy and am moving forward with surgery at the end of September. Financially this has also been hard but I have a huge support system that I know I can count on if needed, but others facing the same challenge as me do not have the same support so I am raising funds for them. I raise funds for all of the cancer warriors that need support and turn to Susan G. Komen for financial, emotional, or logistical support to and from treatment.

I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Because I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever. If you are unable to please extend a prayer to all of the cancer warriors like me fighting every day to get better, to live longer, and to eradicate cancer so one day no one has to live this nightmare ever again.
