On September 12th, I’ll be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Detroit for the third year with our team, Melissa’s Musketeers, in honor of my mom, Melissa Boyless, who passed away from breast cancer in April 2024.
My mom was one of the most caring, selfless people I have ever known, and she is deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Creating Melissa’s Musketeers has become a meaningful way for our family and friends to celebrate her life while supporting a cause that affects so many.
Over the past two years, more than 60 friends and family members have joined our team to walk in her honor. Together, Melissa’s Musketeers has become one of the event’s top fundraising teams, and that support has been truly overwhelming. Every person who joins our team or donates is helping keep my mom’s memory alive while making a difference for others facing breast cancer.
Please consider supporting our team by making a donation or joining us on race day. Every dollar raised helps Susan G. Komen fund groundbreaking research, provide patient support, improve access to care, and advocate for those affected by breast cancer.
Thank you for helping us honor my mom’s legacy and move one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Your generosity means more to our family than words can express.
