2026 Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure

We are Team Debbie Strong.

This year’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is extra special to our family and friends because Debbie Proudfoot has been chosen as the special In Memory Of honoree.

Those of us who knew Debbie already know why she deserves to be celebrated. Debbie was fun, loved a good joke and a good glass of wine, and seemed to know someone everywhere she went. She was also the person you wanted around when something needed to get done — because somehow, Debbie could always make it happen.

She had a way of bringing people together, and the number of family and friends coming together as Team Debbie Strong is a pretty great reflection of just how many people knew and loved her.

We already knew how special Debbie was. How cool is it that on race day, so many more people will get to hear about her and discover a little bit of what made Debbie, Debbie?

We’d love for you to be part of this special day. Join Team Debbie Strong and come walk or run with us in person, or support the team by making a donation. However you choose to participate, you’ll be helping us celebrate Debbie, honor her memory, and support the fight against breast cancer.
