This race hits especially close to home.
As many of you know, my sister, Amy Engen, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of 2025. Thanks to early checkups and screening, she is doing well right now — and we are beyond grateful.
But this walk isn’t just for Amy.
We walk for our amazing mom, Sandy Wright.
We walk for our cousins, Amanda Scheel and Renae Wright.
We walk for our step-sister, Shelly Shefveland.
And we walk for the many friends and family members whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
Statistics show that 1 out of 5 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. This is about awareness. Early detection. Support. Strength. And standing together.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised support breakthrough research and provide critical assistance to those facing breast cancer who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support through Komen’s financial assistance program or navigation services that break down barriers to care, Komen is there for patients and families when they need it most.
Ending breast cancer takes all of us, and your generosity can truly make a difference. Together, we can show those fighting that there is an entire community standing beside them.
If you would like to join our Pink Ladies Team and walk alongside us, we would love to have you. Please reach out to me for more information.
If you are unable to join us, please consider making a tax-deductible donation in support of my fundraising efforts.
Will you join me in this fight?
Let’s show up strong, together.
With love and gratitude
