I am walking/crawling/running in this year's NC Triangle Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.

I am one of three sisters who have benefited from Komen's research. Each of our breast cancer journeys was different. We each survived and thrived starting in a different decade. Each one of us was diagnosed a full stage earlier than the sister before. We don't carry any of the genes that have been sequenced to date.

I believe to my core that close monitoring and Komen-supported breakthrough research saved us. We are fortunate to be coming up on our 20th, 13th and 4th year of survivorship. But too many of our friends and family members are not longer with us.
