My mom got diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, so in 1999 I decided to do something to help fight such a nasty disease. So I’ve run in this Race for the Cure every year since. And I’ve raised A LOT of money thanks to all of you wonderful people that have supported this cause. Some of you have donated every single year that I’ve run. Cool.

Mom survived for 21 more years. She would never have made it that long without the medicines and technology and research that is all funded in large part through the Komen Foundation.
