Speakman Squad is More Than Pink
I hope that you will join me on Speakman Squad in this year's Race for the Cure! As many know I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2025. I have since had a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and am still having antibody infusions, endocrine therapy and hormone therapy. I am so proud of how far I've come and consider myself lucky to have had access to amazing treatments, doctors, nurses, researchers, etc. I have been blessed with an education in breast cancer due to my mom's own experience and my family's fight against breast cancer. What time, money, research, and science has done in those many years since my mom's diagnosis is incredible. I can only hope that advancements continue for those in the future.
The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments for breast cancer. These treatments have been integral in helping me continue my quality of life while receiving life saving treatments. Additionally, it will provide vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education and information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us. United together, we can support those who need help today, while searching for tomorrow's cures.
