This picture was 20 years ago this year. I did the race that year so this is year 21 for races but a huge milestone in years post treatment. Every year I feel less "connected" since I have had the privilege of doing well. That is right up until I get to the race. And then I feel totally connected to every pink shirt I see. I feel especially connected to those I don't see anymore as well. I can't believe that after 20 years we are still saying "1 in 8 women", "find a cure", etc. Granted, early detection has improved greatly and that saves a lot of lives but with grant and federal research dollars dwindling, the only way a cure is found is through our voices and our dollars. I'd love you to join our race on race day, walk, volunteer, or simply donate to make a difference. Everyone can do something. Please join us!
