When I first heard the words ?You have Triple Negative Breast Cancer,? my world stopped. TNBC is one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer, and in that moment I didn?t know if I would survive to see my children grow, laugh with my husband again, or continue the advocacy work I had just begun. The road through chemo, surgery, and recovery was grueling. There were days I felt like giving up, but I held on to strength I didn?t know I had. I realized something powerful: survivorship is not just about one person. It is about the love of family, the care of a community, and the research and resources that make healing possible. That is why this year I created a team for the 2026 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure called Triple Strong at The Advocate?s Table. The name honors my TNBC status and symbolizes what carried me through:
But I cannot do this without you. Breast cancer does not just touch patients. It ripples through families, friends, and entire communities. Together, we can make sure that research continues, patients get the help they need, and future generations face fewer losses to this disease.
Will you stand with Triple Strong at The Advocate?s Table? Join us in the race or make a donation that fuels research, supports patients, and keeps hope alive. Every step, every dollar, and every voice matters.
Together, we can move closer to a world without breast cancer.
