I’ve proudly participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure many times over the years, always running to honor and support others. But this year is different—it’s personal. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself.
Because of the research, advocacy, and progress this race has fueled, I now have treatment options that may not have existed years ago. I am deeply grateful for the work that has given me—and so many others—the chance to fight with hope.
This race isn’t just about crossing the finish line. It’s about making sure that future patients have even better options, more breakthroughs, and more survivors.
