I was 32. They said it probably started 3-5 years earlier. I tested negative for every gene. Still convinced Clearasil is to blame.
From there, it all happened fast. Chemo, immunotherapy, double Mastectomy, physical therapy, drains, expanders, hair loss, radiation, LAP-Flap. Somehow, I kept working the whole time - mostly because I didn't know what else to do. I think I was in denial.
After a long journey, I am officially cancer free. Today - I sit ingratitude for every one who was there to support me along the way including friends, family and an A+ medical team.
This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
