I am walking on behalf of my sister, mother, friend to many and the publisher of the Greet University Park publication, Robin. Last year on her birthday, she received the call that no one wants to hear, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, one of the most aggressive cancers. Since then, she has undergone 16 weekly rounds of what the doctor referred to as "throwing the kitchen sink" chemo treatments, surgery, and 30 daily treatments of radiation. Due to the side effects of the chemo pills, the doctor has paused that treatment. Throughout this journey, she has continued to work and support the Greet University Park publication and community. However, I don't want to take away from the fact that breast cancer sucks!
This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts and/or walk with us.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer.
