My Story

Celebrating 25 years Breast Cancer Free .

On September 13 2000 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer . It took almost a month to process and get everything set up to have Breast Cancer surgery. And on October 16 2000 I had Breast Cancer surgery to remove a cancerous tumor out of my right breast . They removed 25 lymph nodes out of my right arm , and 15 lymph nodes had cancerous tumors on them . I was told that I had stage 3 triple negative Breast Cancer. I had to take Chemo , 8 rounds one every 3 weeks until they were completed. Then 48 or more rounds of radiation 1 every day Monday thru Friday until they were completed. All of this while working at Parkland Hospital, and taking care of my two daughter . God has been so good to me he showed me Favor , Grace , and Mercy . Look at me then . And look at me know he is still blessing me 25 years after diagnosed .Hallelujah Thank you Jesus!!!!. Early Detection Saves Lives . I thank God for another opportunity to participate In the Komen Race for the Cure. I am one of the Top Survivor Donators thanks to my Colleague, Coworkers all over the Hospital where I have worked for the past 41 years, my Church Family , Family members, and Friends. I am Celebrating 25 years as a Breast Cancer Survivor!!!! . On 10/25/2025 I will be at the Komen Race for the Cure hope to see you there .
