It?s just over a week until the annual Komen Race for the Cure here in Tulsa.
This will be my fourth year walking ? which also marks four years since my own diagnosis. I?m so grateful to be here, to be a survivor, and to have the chance to keep showing up.
Not everyone gets that chance. This year, I?m walking in honor of someone who didn?t ? Amanda King. Amanda was an incredible young woman I had the privilege of volunteering with. She was a fierce advocate for breast cancer research and supported survivors as a co-leader of a local support group. We lost her earlier this month, far too soon.
This walk is for Amanda, for me, and for everyone who has faced breast cancer ? those still fighting, those we?ve lost, and those who?ve survived.
Would you consider supporting my fundraiser this year? Every donation brings us closer to better treatments, better research, and a world without breast cancer.
Together, we can honor Amanda?s legacy, celebrate survivorship, and give hope to those still in the fight. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
