I'm so grateful for all of the support and for the new connections to so many people. Today's Race For The Cure was wet, but there was no dampening the enthusiasm of the crowd.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey.
Wishing you health and love,
Sarah

As I countdown the days to the sea of pink in Central Park (just 8 days!), I'm thinking about birthdays in a way that's bittersweet. I'm so grateful to be celebrating my birthday cancer free... while thinking of the mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, aunts, grandmas and girlfriends who are longer with us.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer AND MORE BIRTHDAYS! Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer who need our support.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let?s show breast cancer patients there?s a whole community standing by their side.
Please consider making and donation and THANK YOU!
Wishing you health & happiness,
Sarah
7 days ago I had my exchange surgery. It's the procedure that replaces the expanders that are put in place during a double mastectomy. In my case, I opted for silicone implants (365cc). The surgery was a rough one for me mentally. It felt a bit like Ground Hog's Day. After a few tough days (with a lot of support from amazing family, friends and colleagues) I am doing much better.
As co-captain of team Paramount, I was part of a panel with my co-captain Alison Hall and Geraldine Redmond of Valley Health in Paramus, NJ (amazing care!). CBS New York anchor Mary Calvi moderated a really vibrant discussion that could have gone much longer. These are the conversations that fuel me.
Early detection meant my cancer was caught at Stage 0. Until we cure cancer, let's make sure every woman has the information and support to be screened early and often. It made a huge difference for me.
