Just wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to all who have donated and who will be walking. Means the world to me and my family. I am lucky to have so many people on my team.
Why I’m Walking
In March, I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Since then, it’s been a journey filled with challenges—but also with strength, healing, and so much support. I’ve had a double mastectomy, started 12 weeks of chemo (using a cold cap), and have reconstruction surgery coming up in the fall.
I’m incredibly grateful to be feeling strong today. That strength has come from the love and encouragement of my family and friends—without them, I truly couldn’t have done this.
This walk is personal for so many reasons. I’m walking to raise funds for breast cancer research and care, and to stand with every person who has been affected by this disease. But this day is even more special—I'm walking in honor of a dear friend, on her birthday. It means the world to walk for her, and with her spirit in my heart.
Every step is for hope, healing, and a future without breast cancer. Thank you for supporting me on this journey.
Thank you! xo Lu, Dave and Giana
