Betty's Boob Brigade is More Than Pink

This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in honor of my friend, Dr. Betty Del Rio Rodriguez.  Fifteen years ago, Betty lost her older sister to breast cancer.  One of the saddest moments of her life may also have been what saved her, as it motivated her to screen regularly for this common cancer and enabled early detection.  Betty's priorities in life are clear --as a wife and the mother of two loving boys, she wants to do everything in her power to be with them and enjoy every moment of their lives.  Her journey with breast cancer has not been easy, but she has felt the love and support of her family, friends and co-workers.  More importantly, she feels the hand of God in every step of her journey.  Betty said, " There is still has a long road ahead, but I know I am not alone."

I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.  Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let?s show breast cancer patients there?s a whole community standing by their side.

Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today and join our team!
