Mammo-Grams is More Than Pink

In early 2024, my mom was diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast cancer (TNBC). TNBC is a type of invasive breast cancer where the cancer cells lack estrogen and progesterone receptors, and the protein HER2. This means the cancer cells don't rely on these growth factors for survival and growth, making them more challenging to treat with targeted therapies that rely on these receptors. TNBC is often more aggressive and has a higher risk of recurrence compared to other breast cancer subtypes.

Her treatment plan was to be long and difficult but we had no reason to believe that she wouldn’t beat this. Sadly, after two sessions of chemo, she contracted an infection and after 11 days in the hospital, we lost her. As one can imagine, our lives were irreparably changed that day – May 30, 2024. On May 17, 2025 we will be gathering to walk in her honor.

The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments for breast cancer. Additionally, it will provide vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education and information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.

Ending breast cancer needs all of us. United together, we can support those who need help today, while fearlessly searching for tomorrow's cures.

Please join us in this fight by making your donation today!
