As many of you know, in August 2024, just shy of my 46th birthday, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 triple positive IDC breast cancer. After 6 rounds of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and 15 rounds of radiation, I am on the road to recovery and feeling stronger every day! I am so fortunate to have access to incredible doctors and care at Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center and to life-saving treatments that can CURE early breast cancer. But these treatments take a lot of research, which takes a lot of money, and unfortunately aren't available to all women.
So this year I joined the Komen community and registered to run the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider joining my team and running (or walking) with me on May 17th and/or making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer. That's 13% of mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and girlfriends. Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer who need our support - whether it’s emotional support, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care.
Your support and generosity means the world to me and will make a real difference in ending breast cancer for all of us!
