2025 Komen Chicago Race for the Cure

I was diagnosed with stage 3b breast cancer in March 2020 in the same week the COVID lockdowns began, and my best friend and mom were both diagnosed later that same year with different types and stages of breast cancer. My late grandmother was also a breast cancer survivor. I have been walking in the virtual Race for the Cure in my hometown ever since 2020 to raise money for this cause. We ALL know someone affected by this devastating disease, and your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer.

I joined the 2025 Komen Chicago Race for the Cure as a team captain again this year for team “Pink Power-Up” because I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. If you are interested in walking alongside me on our local walk at the FEL-PRO RRR forest preserve in Cary, IL at 9:30 a.m. on June 21st, please register as a “virtual” participant to receive an official race T-shirt in the mail and to receive access to your own personal fundraising center. You may also join our virtual team and walk wherever you are located in the world!
