Dear Family and Friends,

I am joining the annual fundraising run/walk again. I'm doing it for all of us as everyone can get breast cancer. We all know many friends and family that have been challenged by this horrible cancer. It impacts more than just the individual but also their loved ones who support, care and standby them.

It is said that this is a very curable disease, and I am grateful for that. However, wouldn't it be better if it were irradicated completely? Wouldn't it be great if individuals could be spared the disfiguring surgeries and radiation treatments not to mention ongoing medications, screenings and worry to keep the cancer at bay.

I am dedicating this years walk to my beautiful sisters Marianne & Irmgard. Both have been touched by this awful cancer. My hope is that our efforts today will spare our daughters and granddaughters the hell they've endured being diagnosed with breast cancer.

I wish you could walk with me. Please join me in spirit!
