This year I was blessed to be asked to be the Chair of the 2024 Komen race for the cure here in beautiful Tulsa Oklahoma.
You might think... you haven't had breast cancer so what does Komen mean to you??
You're right. I haven't had breast cancer, but as a 2 time cancer survivor. i know how debilitating that call is. the "you have cancer" that you hear from your physician and how everything just fades after that. You feel lost, scared, you think the worst, you don't know what steps to take next, everything comes at you all at once.
Komen provides a safe place to share those worries and to gain hope and order in a time when these things feel so scarce. This is something I hope for all cancer patients.
I trust that one day God will provide our amazing researchers with the cure for cancer but in the meantime i trust in the amazing people that provide hope, compassion and love when people are experiencing one of the most devastating things in their life.
So I hope you will join me in supporting Komen and it's purpose
