This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE because it has become personal to me. With a scheduled annual mammogram I found out I had stage one invasive ductal carcinoma. Because of the research they knew just what to do and got started right away with my treatment plan. I met with my team and had my surgery then I got to ring the bell on 8/27/2024 after finishing my radiation treatments.
