Welcome to Nicole's Pride:
This year we lost a beautiful soul, my mother Nicole, to breast cancer. She was a warrior and wouldn't want the fight for a cure to stop even though she's no longer with us physically. Therefore, I have decided to honor her by participating, yearly, in the breast cancer awareness race/walk. Joining others as we work together to find a cure. I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
I named our team "Nicole's Pride" in honor of my mother, who embodied the strength and spirit of a lioness throughout her battle with cancer. As a Leo, her fierce personality and determination enabled her to fight fiercely against her diagnosis. We chose the name because a group of lions is called a pride, symbolizing our role as her pack, her tribe. It also reflects her prideful nature, which she maintained till the end, holding her head high and affirming her belief in God's purpose, while expressing her pride in her children. Now, as she leads a pack of warriors in heaven, we, her earthly pack, are dedicated to raising awareness and racing for a cure in her honor.
We continue my mother's fight in Chicago, Saturday, September 28, 2024 (Soldier Field - South Lot)
1410 S. Special Olympics Drive, Chicago, IL
