My life changed the end of last year. I heard the words that, unfortunately, too many women hear today - you have breast cancer. My family didn't miss a beat. From day one, they worked together to comfort me, support me, and push me to fight.
Thankfully, God started making provisions far before I knew I had cancer. I'm reminded every day how blessed I am to have incredible family, friends (old and new), resources, and medical team.
I finished chemo in May and mastectomy in June. I'm currently tackling radiation and will be done on August 30th. This is a long, tough journey but it's also been an opportunity to evaluate my life, my health, my relationships, my faith, and more.
This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE. I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider joining me and my family for a 1-mile walk as a sign of support for women all over.
This walk is an opportunity to physically cross a finish line and hug/thank people in person.
