As many of you know that in April 2024 I heard the devasting words that no one ever wants to hear "You have breast cancer". I learned that I had stage 3 ILC (Invasive Lobular Carcinoma). After I had my bones scans and a CT of the chest, abdomen and pelvic, I heard the words you are now a Stage IV BC. My world turned upside down within in minutes, I tuned my doctor out, all I could think of how I would NOT give up, my 5 daughters, my grandsons, family and friends needed me to be here. After seeing my new Oncologist at MD Anderson, I asked when can I start my treatments.
After 4 months of being on my "fighter pills" my mass in my left breast went from 5.5 inches down to 2.4 inches, the lesions on my liver were almost nonexistent and the METS on spine, were showing signs of improvements. I am a single mother with 3 out of 5 of my daughters still living with me. I continue to work as much as possible and will stay positive as I will not allow cancer to win!
