My Story

In May 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. I was fortunate to find the cancer early as I knew I had the BRCA-1 gene and was getting breast MRIs every six months. On my 30th birthday, I had a double mastectomy and shortly thereafter went through chemotherapy. Today, I'm incredibly lucky to be cancer-free and I'm passionate about Susan G. Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever.

Supporting my Race for the Cure team helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
