2024 will be my 4th year racing for the cure with Susan G. Komen! Last year was my first year as a team captain for our corporate KPF team and we fundraised over $8,000! This cause is personal to me - with my mother, my aunt, my grandmother and my great aunt all beating breast cancer in their lifetimes and inspiring me to support this cause. My mom spent her career in public health helping others and she is my role model every day. Running together is one of my favorite things to do and getting to run the Race for the Cure together in 2023 was so powerful and inspiring. I am an advocate for proactive healthcare, knowing your baseline and knowing your risk. I believe a world without breast cancer is possible if we can come together as a community for each other.
Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
