I heard the words ‘you have breast cancer’ in 2015. I was scared about my prognosis and worried about how my illness would impact my family. Since that day, I have had the chance to celebrate 9 birthdays and to experience many other milestones in my life and my family members’ lives. I know I am here today because of the excellent care I received and the loving support of my family. I really want other persons affected by breast cancer to celebrate life events too. This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE. I am running as part of the Kohn, Pederson, Fox corporate team which is captained by my daughter, one of my biggest supporters.
