As you all know the past year and half has been the hardest for me. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer and Lobular Cancer in the SITU. I have been through multiple surgeries including lymph node removal, double mastectomy, and reconstruction this summer. I completed 5 months of aggressive chemo treatments and 28 radiation sessions. As a result of my last surgery i now have a paralyzed left vocal cord so my voice sound's hoarse like I have a sore throat!! I am likely to need surgery to fix that. I have another surgery in a month to clean up the scar tissue from reconstruction as i had an open wound all summer after DIEP Reconstruction. My journey is not over, I am on hormone suppressants and cancer blockers for the next 5 years. Recently started a medicine to prevent ostepoperosis due to the effects of treatments. This medicine knocked me out all week and i am still recovering from its effects. This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE. I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
In moments like this, your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
