This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and the family and I, along with some of Henry’s tennis community registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE on October 19th.
On July 15th, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My world changed. My outlook on life changed. I started looking at Jeff, Henry and Emma more intently, absorbing every single facial trait and every memory in case I never get to see them again. I am kinder to my dad. I talk to my siblings more often. I am working on strengthening my friendships as well. Most importantly, I live with more gratitude for family, friends and everything I have while holding on to hope and believing in scientific progress that has been made so far.
More than $280 million in Komen research grants have supported over 530 clinical trials. Clinical trials allow us to find new ways to detect, treat and cure breast cancer.
I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Breast cancer unfortunately does not discriminate and no one is too young to get it. Let’s rally for a cure! Your support helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer.
Any amount helps.
Thank you,
Michele
