My Story

I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds for the 2024 Komen Dallas North Texas Race for the Cure. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The more we raise, the more research we can fund and the more support we can provide to people facing breast cancer.

I am passionate about this cause because I was personally diagnosed and treated for breast cancer during the last 18 months. At the time, I kept this information private to protect my ability to make decisions that were right for me. I am so grateful to have caught and treated it early. After a February 2023 diagnosis, I underwent 4 surgeries and now show no evidence of disease. I am sharing my story to gain support for this important cause.
