This year, Tim and Brittany have joined me to form Team Eternal Hope. We will be walking in honor of my late wife Linda, Tim's mother. As we were trying to come up with a team name, Tim mentioned how so many get negative and bitter when they talk about their journey, but then he said something so powerful, "Yes, it took mom, but we know it didn’t win. Not by a long shot. So I would want something pointing to Jesus. To the eternal hope we have. That cancer didn’t win."
That's where we got our name and we walk not only for Linda but to spread the news that with JESUS you WIN, and you WIN BIG.
When I started this a few years back and made the decision to not be greedy or beg for support. I simply set my goal at $100 for each year she has been gone. So this year our goal will be $700. However, each year I have done this, our family and friends have responded in such kind and generous ways that we have exceeded the goal each year. I suspect that will probably happen again this year.

Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them."
