Why I Walk

I'm walking with my dearest friend Carlee who was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer in January 2021, yet is THRIVING four years later.
My story.....after losing my best friend to head and neck cancer in 2019, I promised myself I would do everything possible to stay well for my family. That meant a colonoscopy at 50, annual physicals with bloodwork, and 3D yearly mammograms. On August 12, 2021, 365 days to the day, I went for my mammogram never expecting what would happen next. I was diagnosed with Stage I HR+ Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Four major surgeries and three years later I AM HAPPY TO SHARE THAT I AM CANCER FREE.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
Please join our team, The Angels, and walk with us, or donate.
