My Story

Celebrating 24years Cancer Free

On September 13 2000 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It took almost a month to process and get everything set up to have Breast Cancer surgery. And on October 16 2000 I had Breast Cancer surgery to remove a cancerous tumor out of my right breast . They removed 25 lymph nodes out of my right arm , and 15 lymph nodes had cancerous tumors on them . I was told that I had stage 3 triple negative Breast Cancer. I had to take Chemo , 8 rounds one every 3 weeks until they were completed. Then 48 or more rounds of radiation 1 every day Monday thru Friday until they were completed. All of this while working at Parkland Hospital, and taking care of my two daughter . God has been so good to me he showed me Favor , Grace , and Mercy . Look at me then . And look at me know he is still blessing me 24 years after diagnosed . Hallelujah Thank you Jesus!!!!. I am Celebrating 24 year Breast Cancer Survivor!!!! October 16, 2024 I will be at the Komen race for the Cure on 10/19/2024. I am one of the Survivor donators thanks to coworkers, church family members, friends and family. Early detection saves lives .
