CANCER: 6 letters that shook me to my entire core when hearing “…Jessica, it IS in fact cancer!” To hear you have something that you didn’t ask for, nor expected, but now you have to prepare to fight it…was not an easy pill to swallow. However, I don’t have to fight alone. My support system is solid and growing day by day.

TNBC: Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)…is the type of cancer I have been diagnosed with.
“Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive cancer that accounts for about 10-15% of all breast cancers. This invasive, rare, cancer tends to grow and spread faster, has fewer treatment options, and tends to have a worse prognosis (outlook). These cancers tend to be more common in women younger than age 40, most diagnoses are in Black women, and this cancer is more likely to come back after treatment than other types of breast cancer.” ~ American Cancer Society
