This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE. I walk for my aunt Suzanne, who passed away from breast cancer in October, just 10 days after my diagnosis. I walk for my mom Nancy, my step-sister Leslie, my mother-in-law Patty and my dear friend Haley, who are all breast cancer survivors. I walk this 5K for myself on what will be the day after finishing my last active treatment.
