My Story

I am registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE for all of those living with breast cancer, but especially for my friend, Emily Payne. Emily is a bright & strong hardworking mom who volunteers, gets outdoors, keeps her body moving, makes time for friends & family, shows up with enthusiasm at kids’ sports, plans & facilitates her children’s troop meetings & events (while us other parents use the time to run errands, get a dinner on or show up for other littles) & has a heart overflowing with gratitude. She is amazing & this cancer has nothing on her!

1 in 8 of us will be diagnosed with breast cancer. My grandmother was one & had a double mastectomy. My aunt also got the call… when one of us is hurting, we all feel it. ð’
