As we continue to grieve our loss of Karen, we celebrate her by participating in this year’s Komen Columbus Race for the Cure.

Karen was victorious. She remained about more than her 32-month breast cancer journey. Karen will always be known for valuing family, friends, professionalism, pets, quilting, chocolate-making, fun, church, crafts, sports, Mustangs, prayer, inspirational messages, cards, gifts, bible study, tea parties, good restaurants, travel, shopping, hugs, smiles, laughter, and so much more. All that Karen represents is wrapped into her values of faith, hope and love.
We are continuing the Karen Gandarillas Legacy as a bronze sponsor of the Race. Her Legacy promotes the positive balance of medical science with the values of faith, hope and love that are vital during all cancer journeys.
For joining the Team, you will receive a special "Karen Gandarillas Legacy" t-shirt. This year the Legacy t-shirt is teal. Teal represents those, like Karen, who have been impacted with breast cancer that metastasized.
If you attend the Race, please stop by the Karen Gandarillas Legacy tent. We want to see you! Plus, we have plenty of giveaways, a quilt silent auction, and lots of arts and crafts for sale. All items have been created and donated by many of Karen's beloved friends and family.
