Diagnosed in September 2023, she faced her diagnosis head-on, undergoing a double mastectomy in mid-November of the same year. Throughout her chemotherapy treatments starting on December 21, 2023, and her 25 days of radiation treatment beginning on March 27th, she exemplified resilience and grace.

Not only is Amy a warrior in her fight against breast cancer, but she also continues to inspire as an educator, a devoted mother, and a cherished friend. Her determination and optimism have been a beacon of hope for all who know her, reminding us of the power of courage and the importance of community support.
