The Komen More Than Pink Team Harvan's Heroes was formed in 2015 in response to the unexpected passing of a longtime friend and Law Librarian colleague, Christine Harvan, who lost her 7-year battle with breast cancer that Spring. The Team began with members of Christine's Law Firm, and evolved into Harvan's Heroes II with Law Librarians and other friends of her longtime friend, Linda-Jean Schneider, joining in this important event,
Last May, the Team raised more than $4,000 in contributions, far exceeding their original goal and the previous year's total of $2,500. Two more friends have joined this year, so the Team is growing, as is their contribution to this important cause.
We have two specific goals for this year to note the 10th year of participation for the Team named in honor of Christine :
- To grow our Team to 10 members in (we are at 7 and counting...)
- To increase our contribution to more than $5,000
