Do I get a t-shirt?
All participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive a commemorative fundraiser t-shirt.
All survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special t-shirt recognizing their role in our event regardless of fundraising level or status. Registered survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who raise $100 or more will receive two shirts—a pink survivor shirt and a gray fundraiser shirt.
Register and fundraise early to guarantee you’ll receive your shirt before event day!
How will I get my t-shirt?
We are now mailing all shirts for $100+ fundraisers, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer.
In order to receive your shirt in time for Walk day*, you must register and/or fundraise $100+ by Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Central. Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register, and participants who raise $100, after Sunday, October 1, 2023 will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is Sunday, November 26, 2023.
*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.
Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.
Why are all t-shirts being mailed this year?
Mailing all shirts guarantees you will get the size you requested. Additionally, the new program will cut down on waste and will allow for cost savings, ensuring more of your fundraising dollars are directed to Komen’s lifesaving mission.
Do donations made to a team qualify team members to receive fundraising shirts?
No. Individual team members must have at least $100 in their individual fundraising accounts to qualify for a fundraising t-shirt. Donations to a team do not count toward individual team member fundraising.
We're working on scheduling some fabulous activities now! Check back later for all the details.
Be the first to know about new activities by joining our 2023 Komen Los Angeles MORE THAN PINK Walk Facebook Group!
August 1, 2023 | Virtual MORE THAN PINK Walk Kickoff
Thank you to all who joined us for our 2023 West Region Walk Kickoff, where we brought together supporters from California to Colorado, met your local Komen staff partners, heard the latest updates on this year’s Walk events, and learned the best fundraising and team recruitment tips from fellow participants, survivors and top fundraisers. Watch the recording on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/hHIWhQovhZ4
October 23–27 | ONE final week, and ONE final push to make a HUGE impact in the fight against breast cancer. Together, let's see what a difference ONE week can make.
Don't forget to post photos of your daily celebrations to our Facebook Group or social media and use #PowerOfONEWeek so they’ll be displayed on our ONE Community Photo Wall!
Complete the ONE Mission Journey. Then share one new thing you learned on social with a link to your fundraising page.
Share a photo of your reason for walking via text, email or social media and ask your audience to support you with a donation. Then get ready for this weekend and download your In Celebration / In Memory back sign now.
A great activity for teams, family and friends, because this day is all about community! Here's an idea: Host a dinner party or virtual cocktail hour and ask guests to make a donation in lieu of hostess/host gift. We even have some ONE pot recipes (or share your own!) and Komen Conversation Cards to kick-start your plans.
It's time to celebrate and thank your donors for their support! Use the tools in the Walk app and your Fundraising Center to send text and email Thank You's.
It's time to pink out! Let's see those tutus, boas, vintage Walk tees, accessories and more. Share a selfie in our Facebook Group and then post to social media using #powerofONEweek #MORETHANPINKWalk #ONEkomen.
FUN FUNDRAISING IDEA: Use your outfit to create a "Dare to Wear" fundraising challenge. Tell your followers you'll add another pink item to your Walk day outfit for every $20 you raise on Friday.
