My grandmother survived breast cancer at the early age of 40, but it returned later in age and though she fought, she passed while battling this disease. I have tried to make it my goal to take preventative measures for myself and family to get screenings and breast exams regularly. Additionally, joining the Susan G. Komen Walk will help raise awareness for not only her story, but other breast cancer fighters.
