My Name is Hope Pickens. I have been a supporter of all things "health" for a good part of my life. I have passed out many pink ribbons to remind women of yearly Mammogram Exams. On February 21, 2023, the date i received the results of my exam, truly took my breath away. I was told the result was Invasive Lymphoma Carcinoma. That is a fancy way to say I had Breast Cancer. I have had 2 major surgeries, Reconstructive and bilateral of my breast and 30 rounds of Radiation Treatment. My journey has been one of Faith, Hope and Triumph! My faith is deeper, i never lost hope and i am winning! Today, i am cancer Free! Someone reminded me of how many pink ribbons i handed out and also reminded me that now, I am the pink ribbon. I am now the recipient for all the research that is being done for a cure and i am ever so grateful. I promise to do my part to help in the cause.
