Many of you are already aware I’m a recent breast cancer survivor and as such, this walk is personal. Breast cancer will forever hold a very special place in my life, not just for myself but for all the people impacted by this terrible disease. This past year has been the toughest year of my life but I’m incredibly proud to say I’m a cancer survivor. It’s been one helluva year and I couldn’t have made it to the light at the end without the support of my dear family and friends. 

Susan G. Komen uses this money for breast cancer research but also provides much needed resources to previvors, patients and survivors. The hot topic in the breast cancer world right now is researching Stage 4 breast cancer. Stage 4 is commonly considered terminal but perhaps it doesn't need to be. My cancer was Stage 3C. I feel incredibly thankful to be alive every single day.
