This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. 

I'd like to walk for:

• My mother Edith, who has been in remission for 17 years
• My great-grandmother Bertha, who took a two-hour train to Chicago for a mastectomy in the 1940s (returning shortly to finish farm work)
• My dear friend Kristi, who had a double mastectomy at age 41, and went back to work days later, completely unfazed
• All women who overcome great odds every day, often with limited resources and limited support.

I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer. Funds raised help support research and assistance to those facing breast cancer.
