My Story
For the second year in a row, I am participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in downtown Los Angeles. I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts, and/or join our Capital Group team that is walking together on October 29 in Los Angeles!
Last year I joined the walk for the first time, and it was an emotional and supportive experience. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2019, and was fortunate to have fantastic medical care through UCLA Health. My team of doctors continues to support me in my cancer journey to ensure I have the best chances for long term survival. I was reluctant to talk about my experience in the beginning, but joining last year's walk helped me appreciate the community that is required to support women through their cancer journeys. I live each day thankful for the opportunity to enjoy the here-and-now. Not all women are as fortunate, so I am walking and raising money this year in support of all women who face this disease.
Your support helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today, and/or joining our Capital Group team on October 29?
Thank you,
Elizabeth
