In December of 2022, my world changed.  I was diagnosed with breast cancer three weeks before Christmas - no family history.  I was terrified, as mother of two teenage daughters, a full time attorney, and running at 150 mph.  After many tests, doctors appointments, research and discussions, my plan was set - mastectomy on one side followed by radiation last summer.  I then underwent reconstructive surgery this fall, and have another surgery scheduled in early May.  I had the support of my family, my co-workers, and my knowledge in the healthcare litigation field to help guide me through one of the most challenging years of my life.  

But, what about women who do not have these support networks and battle their cancer alone and in the shadows.  This is my WHY for becoming a member of the Komen Foundation More Than Pink Walk Executive Leadership Committee.  I am dedicated to not only raising funds to support Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help.
