My Story

My journey began in May 2010. I was diagnosed with Stage 0 DCIS. Treatment - 2 lumpectomies and 36 rounds of radiation.

My  2nd battle started in November of 2018. This time it was stage 2a Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, grade 3/3. As bad as it gets. Double mastectomy and 16 rounds of chemo. Last count, my treatment costs are closing in on $200,000.

I'm now 5 years with no evidence of disease, but the lingering issues from treatment continue and will for the rest of my life. The importance of finding a cure is not going to go away. I will continue fundraising for Komen until that cure is found. I've lost too many friends and too many more continue to fight the lingering issues or worse yet, live with metastases.

I am dedicated to making an impact in the fight against breast cancer, but I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my efforts. $100 is about the price of a screening mammogram. Think about what $100 is for you. Is that dinner out a couple nights this week? Maybe it's the amount of online shopping you did this month.  To someone else it is being able to receive lifesaving screenings, help  with treatment costs, meals, transportation to treatment, the never-ending costs. Don't have $100? Any amount makes a difference. Your generosity makes a difference. Together, let's show breast cancer patients there's a whole community standing by their side.
