My Story
To all my dear family and friends,
It has been 16 years since my personal diagnosis with breast cancer. My darling girls were 11 and 13 at the time. After my breast cancer diagnosis, I was unsure that I would be able to make it to their high school graduations, let alone their weddings. Just this month, we celebrated my youngest daughter, Chloe’s and Nicks wedding. It was a day full of love and family and one of personal gratitude that I got to be there. I’m one of the lucky ones and I know it! My job as CEO of Susan G, Komen is personal to me. Our mission is MY passion. I am fundraising for Komen so someday my girls will live in a world without breast cancer. I am the team captain of the “Komen’s Bosom Buddies” and plan to walk in the Los Angeles More Thank Pink Walk on Oct. 29th at Exposition Park Downtown. I would love for you to join my team, register, fundraise and walk beside me to show the incredible impact we can make. After all, YOU are my “Bosom Buddies”. There is a link attached for my team. It is a lovely way to spend the day (walking 3 miles) and I promise you, these are life changing and you will have a wonderful time! If you can’t join the team then please consider making a donation to my link below. I truly appreciate our friendship and your support!
Until there’s a cure, Paula
